Fort Clatsop Floor Plan

photo: Clark's floor plan sketch on the Elkskin-Covered Journal

ketch of a preliminary floor plan for Fort Clatsop, drawn on the outside of Clark's Elkskin-covered Journal. Clark drew another, slightly different plan, but evidence suggests that this is the one that was used. The 224-page book contained Clark's record of the journey from September 11 through December 31, 1805, and included several illustrations and 19 maps. Missouri Historical Society, St. Louis.
