View toward Ross's Hole

Ross_view.JPG (35322 bytes)

View northeastward from near the top of Saddle Mountain, west of Lost Trail Pass. The location of the expedition's campsite of September 4, 1805, is in question because the journalists' records are unclear, but students of the expedition believe it was somewhere to the west (left) of the point from which this photo was taken.
